Vitamin B-6 (Pyridoxine)

Functions:
  • Needed for protein metabolism
  • Formation of antibodies and red blood cells
  • Nerve function
  • Required for conversion of tryptophan to niacin

Deficiency:
  • Irritability, depression, convulsions, twitching, muscular weakness, dermatitis, anemia, kidney stones

Recommended Requirement: 
  • 1.3 mg
  • High intake cause bone pain, loss of feeling in fingers and toes, muscular weakness, numbness, loss of balance
