Vitamin B-2 (Riboflavin)

Functions:

  • Promote growth and tissue repaire
  • Contributes capture and use energy released from carbohydrate, fat and protein
  • Essential for cell division

Deficiency:

  • Reddened lips, cracks at both corners of the mouth, fatigue

Recommended Requirement 

  • 1.3 mg
  • High intake are rapidly excreted by kidneys. Toxicity not known.

  • Dairy products, green leafy vegetables, whole and enriched cereal, grains, beef, poultry, fish, liver, eggs
